Residential Construction

Bells Beach Renovation

Peter and Built Consulting’s foundation originated from a trade background in Carpentry.

Having the fortunate opportunity to work directly on some of Melbourne’s most well known residences, his skill base developed over a period of 15 years with a works portfolio ranging from major multi-million dollar renovations to complete new home builds.

This by far has enabled Peter to translate these skills into developing a complete understanding for design, refurbishment, renovation and associated  advice on smart spending for future investment for his  existing clients.

Portsea was an amazing renovation and brilliant client to be associated with. Complete strip out and extension of the kitchen to accommodate  open family get togethers with masses of friends.

Torquay New Build

Collaborating with a highly skilled architect can be one of the most rewarding experiences for the builder and concept designer, to bring both vision and scope to fruition.

This project  located  overlooking  the 18th green at Torquay’s new sands golf course,  was an opportunity for the builder to express his own personality and vision  and to bring a bit of clean edge design and open entertainment to a very special building site.

Peter’s concept and inspiration came straight out of 1950’s California and was inspired by the clean use of simple finishes from the likes of Pierre Koenig and Quincy Jones. Glass, stone and an open anti-sway portal steel design helped translate this 3 story residence with expansive views over the adjacent sand dunes and down the full length of the 18th fairway.

Robert Andary from RA Architecture was chosen to complete the final design brief after consideration of his architectural eye and acceptance of the builders vision to provide a stunning end result. Every home has a personality and this one definitely shines at night.

Toorak Residence

Peter’s exposure to substantial homes  within Melbournes Toorak and Brighton is a life opportunity that has helped to mould a defining style with association of some of the industries best architects, interior designers and landscapers.

Located in one of Toorak’s most recognised streets, this Ilario Cortese designed residence was simply stunning and a privilege  to be a part of.

Being engaged to be an integral part of the carpentry team, Peter spent 12 months working from structure and roof stage through to final screws being all lined up perfectly within every door hinge during the final fix.

Integrated lap pool, underground carpark and fully operational below ground cinema finish off this beautifully appointed villa.
